These are great shadow shots... but I would stay away from the scorpion. It is interesting that the smaller the scorpion, the more concentrated is its venom and the more dangerous they are to animals and man.
Thanks for your comments everyone. I think I'd better say that the sorpion was behind glass in the 'nocturnal' section of the Butterfly world. I'm not that intrepid a photographer. The butterflies were free to fly around in a huge greenhouse area planted up in the style of a rainforest.
Yes, the scorpion looks a bit scary - glad he was behind the glass - the butterfly's shadow is wonderful - as well as the shadow on the leaves & from the drops of water!

What marvelous shadow shots! Beautiful colors.
Enjoy your weekend!
Love the sepia tones of the scorpion, it looks so sinister, but the butterfly, so delicate performs a perfect shadow for your pleasure...and ours!
Cool shots!
Oooh that scorpion looks a little scary to me! I much prefer the sweet butterfly! Both photos are great though. Sounds like a fun place to visit :)
Your first shadow gives me the creeps but the second one I love.
Great shadow shots. That scorpion looks poised to strike!
You've made even a scorpion appealing...from a distance!
