Shadow Shot Sunday - Birds in the garden

Hens and sparrows enjoying an evening drink in our garden.

I love how the sparrows cling on to the kniphofia and sip from the flowers. They could almost be Scottish Hummingbirds.

See more great shadows at Shadow Shot Sunday on Hey Harriet.

What interesting shadow shots the chickens make. The plant looks like a red hot poker, but I haven't seen one in years, and certainly not such aggressive sparrows!

Fun pics! Love the pictures of that kniphofia flower...the flower is so interesting - as well as how the birds get the nectar!

Hens and garbage cans—
are these the meaning of life,
or just the shadow?
