The house has been completely fringed in icicles for the last three weeks. They look so pretty and cast some interesting shadows. Very cold though - hope you are all keeping warm..
No ice in Australia (except in your cool drink on the beach), so visit Tracy at
Shadow Shot Sunday for a blast of sun and shade.

What beautiful, icy shadows! Terrific shot for the day! Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!!

Cool shadows ;)
Wow, great shadows!
The icicles point down like daggers from the roof. Not dangerous in themselves, the shadows seem more menacing than the subject. The cold Winter at least leaves beauty in its wake...
what a dramatic shot - have never seen icicles like that in Britain before...
The combination of icy shadows and brilliant colored glass makes for a wonderful photo....
Hi Jacqui - well captured!!!!

And what lovely shadows the fringe makes too!
Beautiful!

Love that photo and what a gorgeous looking house! Yeah the only drippy like things over my way right now are beads of sweat! Ice cubes melt before they even make it into my drinks ;)
I love icicles - don't get them where I am now though.
Lovely icicles, and don't they just cast the most scarey shadows?!
No icicles in Phoenix, Arizona either!! Happy Sunday.
those are some amazing icicles!
we used to have icicles form over the doorway and they'd fall at the wrong time so I had to hang out the 2nd story window and try to knock them off with a broom stick
My home too is fringed with delicate frosted trimmings...what I dread is all of the snow coming off my metal roof with me and the dog standing under it...not a pretty sight...brrr!
Those windows on your cottage have really caught my eye! Stay warm!
I love icicles. Don't stand under them, though! Very beautiful. I'm also intrigued by the bird in the photo below at the feeder. That is a robin? Our robins look very different.
I'm shivering here in Florida and can't imagine going back to living in snow and ice. That's quite an effect, it must be fun to watch them melt.
Great shot Jacqui! Like Helen commented above, the shadows, the icicles and the lovely windows are a great combination. Lovely blue sky peeping in at the top there too!
I keep waiting for all the snow at the top to come crashing down. . . .eeks!
