Pride comes before ...

Two nights after posting photgraphs of my house fringed with beautiful icicles, and basking in the kind and appreciative comments, the thaw began to set in and guess what?

There was a huge roaring sound as a ton of snow slipped off the roof, taking half the guttering with it.

Fortunately no-one was underneath it at the time, but John has spent the morning clearing massive ice chunks from the rest of the roan pipe.  Ho-hum...

Oh no! Us too. All the guttering fell off our house a few weeks ago. Hopefully we're getting it on the insurence, perhaps good to take some photos and call your insurence folks? Hope you are all well.

Oh no!!
Our guttering did the same. Mind you it's cast iron and looks as old as the house!
Hope you have no more snow disasters.

Oh dear! Did you jump a mile at the noise? I would have. Sorry to hear it took down the guttering -hope the repair goes okay. (And glad no one was hurt!)

No! Sorry to hear this. It's been the danger of this winter. All those pretty icicles dragging down the guttering.
